New door and entry table I stained to match.

For a cheap pine table, it turned out rather well.

Our new door.

The new door is mahogany and we decided to have it stained instead of painted.

Old Door (after breakin)

It appears that the burgler had little problem breaking in our door as the deadbolt just poped right through the wood door.

Christmas 2011

It took a few pictures before we got one of Max sitting still.

A sight you don't want to come home to.

This is part of what I came home to on Friday. How brazen to break down front door during the daytime, it just made us sick.

Lava fields nearby

In our backyard

This little guy and his/her mom came around quite a bit. We saw deer all over the resort.

Our temporary home in Sunriver

Built on the side of a hill, you can't see the bottom level. 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 baths....it was a very nice place this year and very close to the village.

Drug bust in the neighborhood!

So I come home from work yesterday to this. Police vehicles, media vans, public utilities and many unmarked detective vehicles. It turns out that the only rental in our cul-de-sac is a major pot growing house. (The house with the open garage doors.) It is a 4,000 sq ft, 3 level house leased by some chinese people who don't even live there. 1600 plants at an estimated value of 2.4 million in every room but 1 (their breakroom stocked with beer and couches) and on all 3 levels. All windows and glass was covered, they tapped into the power ahead of the meter so it wouldn't show the extreme power use since they had grow lights, fertilizer system and a complete duct-work of exhaust plumbed throughout the house. Big holes cut into the floors and ceilings to exhaust the air into the attic and then outside at night. Mold was growing everywhere because the entire house was kept at 85 degrees and humid. The house is a total loss as moss and mildew is growing everywhere. The owners live near Seattle and I feel terrible for them although I do not know them. 2 people have been arrested so far. Stay tuned! I will provide a news link later or you can check online for yourselves. (KGW 8, KOIN 6, FOX 12 Portland.

Tulip Festival

Finally, a beautifull spring day!
