Our hike this week was in the Gorge from Wahkeena falls (bottom pic) to Fairy Falls (top 2 pics).

Olympic National Park

We get to check another park off our bucket list and this is the closest one to where we live, Olympic National Park. We had excellent weather and wish we could have spent more time here. You really need 2-3 full days to see the sights and get in a good hike or two.

Mt Angel Abby and Seminary.

Finally made it to Mt Angel Abby yesterday just south of Portland about an hours drive from here. A large beautiful campus for seminarians and monks but also a place you can pay to spend a few days and nights for a retreat. We were there for noon prayers. They pray 6 times a day. We had the opportunity to visit with 2 monks who had been there for 4 years....very interesting.

Biggest rainbow trout I have ever caught.

Fishing for Kokanee at Merwin reservoir (we caught 5) and I hooked into this rainbow, almost 8 lbs!
