Mt Angel Abby and Seminary.

Finally made it to Mt Angel Abby yesterday just south of Portland about an hours drive from here. A large beautiful campus for seminarians and monks but also a place you can pay to spend a few days and nights for a retreat. We were there for noon prayers. They pray 6 times a day. We had the opportunity to visit with 2 monks who had been there for 4 years....very interesting.

Our hike this week...very easy and a very beautiful waterfall.

Biggest rainbow trout I have ever caught.

Fishing for Kokanee at Merwin reservoir (we caught 5) and I hooked into this rainbow, almost 8 lbs!

New car for Lori (and me).

2016 Subaru Limited. Now we don't have to do our road trips in my truck, which is very comfortable but it sucks gas. This gets 33 mpg hwy.

One of my spring projects, a new fence.

I put up this fence so I don't have to look at all my neighbors crap. Garden is in and ready to grow....hopefully!

Spent a couple days in the Redwoods.

Caught my 1st chinook salmon

I caught this 18 lb wild salmon (not a hatchery salmon) on the Columbia river with my brother in law Steve. After a 1/2 hour fight and a mile drift away from our anchor, I finally landed him. What a blast!
